Linde’s gases are used in different applications starting from producing oxygen for hospitals, hydrogen for clean fuels, highly purified and specialty gases for electronic manufacturers, and more. Offering advanced gas solutions, Linde helps its customers reduce emissions, improve efficiencies, and support customer expansion.

What were the
challenges of the client?

Linde produces different gases using a variety of equipment. Every plant of Linde uses a certain set of equipment to manufacture the gases. To maintain the quality of gases, they need to check the equipment’s health regularly.

The client used to manage the equipment and equipment health-related data into PDF files. These files are distributed across the different locations in physical forms.

The scattered data makes it difficult for the client to analyze the equipment and equipment health-related data and make timely decisions for equipment repair and maintenance.

Linde wanted to develop an Equipment Analysis Database solution that manages and analyzes the equipment and equipment health-related data of every plant in Asia and Europe regions.

addressing the challenges?

Credencys developed a Linde Equipment Analysis Database (LEAD) solution for the client. It enables Linde with a single platform to manage all their equipment and equipment health-related data.

Equipment Analysis Database solution allows Linde to collect, manage, and analyze the data through a single location. It allows the client to manage the records of equipment health for the last 10 years and perform trend analysis.

The solution helps Linde to understand the changing conditions of equipment’s health, make data-driven predictions, and take the required actions to improve equipment life.

Key features of the app

Data import

Linde sends samples of different equipment to laboratories to check the health of the equipment. After checking the health of equipment, laboratories send reports to the Electronic Health Center (EHC) engineers in PDF format.

EHC engineers convert the PDF data into a CSV file. Later on, they import the CSV file into the Equipment Analysis Database solution.


Centralized repository of data

With the help of the solution, Linde manages all the equipment and equipment health-related data into a single platform. Equipment data are static while equipment health data are dynamic. The EHC engineers need to analyze equipment health data and update it every year.

Data analysis

The Equipment Analysis Database solution stores the equipment health data of every year and allows the EHC engineers to analyze the data and get actionable insights about equipment repair and maintenance.

We have integrated an algorithm where all the parameters for equipment checking are pre-defined. Admin runs the algorithm on the data submitted by the laboratories and analyzes the data to enable the EHC engineers with information about equipment health.

Based on the analysis, EHC engineers guide the plant engineers for the repair and maintenance of equipment.


Trend charts

The solution enables EHC engineers with the visually rich presentation of equipment health data. They can have a quick overview of the equipment health trend for particular equipment of a plant just by viewing the trend chart.


Dashboard of Equipment Analysis Database solution enables Linde engineers with fleet status, health center, and health status data.

Fleet Status: Engineers can view oil-transformer device analysis status, oil-transformer analysis report status, and dry-transformer device service status.

Health Center: Engineers can view the information of re-test, hot oil, reduction H2O, top off, repair, and de-gas.

Health Status: Engineers can view mechanical data that involve breather silica gel color, oil level, paint, & transformer oil leak. Along with that, they can view DGA condition, oil condition, and paper insulation.


User access management

Incorporating user access management, we allowed Linde to limit access to the solution. Credencys has incorporated region-based and role and permission-based user access in the solution to ensure the security of equipment data.


Admin sends email notifications to respective engineers once the equipment health reports are received, analyzed, and updated into the solution.


Master Data Management (MDM)

In Master Data Management, Linde stores and manages the data related to equipment, sites, hub/region/country, and laboratories. As all these data are managed centrally, engineers can access the needed data quickly. Also, it ensures the effective and accurate management of all the organizational data.

Data digitization

Earlier, the client used to manage the equipment and equipment health data manually in a physical format, in PDF files. It was a time-consuming and error-prone process. Moreover, the data was available across the different systems in a scattered way. So, it was challenging to find the required information when needed. <br /><br />With the implementation of the Equipment Analysis Database solution, Linde manages all their data digitally through a quite streamlined process.

Seamless Integration

We have developed the Equipment Analysis Database solution in such a way that the client can integrate any of their existing enterprise systems and third-party applications with the solution through the API.
